Fungal infections can appear anywhere on your body. Fungal infection happens when the fungi appear in the human body and attack it. This type of infection appears mainly on the toenails, fingernails or even under the nails.
According to the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), this type of infection will mainly attack the toenails, because toenails are constantly trapped inside of the shoes and socks. This creates a warm and closed environment and makes it a perfect environment for the bacteria to live in.
If the person is healthy, the fungal infection will not lead to any complications. But, on the other hand, if an individual has a weaker immune system, fungal infection can lead to itching and pain, and in some cases, it can prevent the person from doing his daily activities.
How to remove the fungi from your nails?
Baking soda stops the fungi from spreading and appearing again because it acts as a repellent or a blocker.
Vinegar can disrupt the survival rate of the fungi, but it cannot damage your nails or your healthy skin.
THE RECIPE
Ingredients:
- 4-5 tablespoons of baking soda
- 1 cup of apple cider vinegar or white vinegar
- Water
- Paper towels
How to prepare it:
Mix one cup of vinegar in a larger bowl of water, and soak your feet in this mixture for about 15 minutes. When you are ready, dry them with paper towels. After that, add 4-5 tablespoons of baking soda in the same water, and soak your feet again for 15 minutes.
Repeat this twice a day. The baking soda will stop the appearance of new fungi, and the vinegar will destroy the fungi. Don’t forget to trim your nails as much as you can before soaking your feet in the mixture. Always use a clean clipper, and after that, clean it with alcohol.
